Our 2023 Year in Review

Our 2023 Year in Review

As 2024 begins, the reThink Your Commute program looks back fondly on the milestones achieved over the last year.

In 2023, the reThink Your Commute Program ended the year with a grand total of 15,742 committed members who managed to complete over 71,000 alternative trips and hosted the program’s first ever community roundtable event. Our first-of-its-kind community roundtable event allowed program members an opportunity to share their experiences with the app and provide feedback on how to improve reThink Your Commute.

Members who actively opt for an alternative commute help the environment, save money, and in some cases see improvement in their mental and physical well-being by choosing to bicycle or walk to their desired destination. As Central Florida continues to grow exponentially every year, alternative commutes help save commuters time and money. In 2023, other significant highlights include:

  • A reduction of 1.4 million miles driven.
  • A conservation of 62,376 gallons of gasoline.
  • An impressive 1.5 million calories burned.
  • A significant saving of $880,419.

Additionally, the reThink Your Commute team had the opportunity to connect with commuters at various community events and reaching 6,000 individuals. Our team especially enjoyed championing initiatives such as Earth Day and Mobility Week. Earth Day, observed on April 22, emphasized the importance of environmental preservation. Mobility Week, celebrated every fall, encourages individuals to explore various modes of transportation. The reThink Your Commute program takes pride in its active involvement, presence at events, and in providing helmet fittings by our certified team members.

reThink Your Commute takes joy in celebrating its 2023 achievements and looks forward to next steps in 2024.
